YTI aims to organise a monthly social event during the second (full-ish) week of the month, with a summer break in August.

Saturday 15th July Summer walk in the Robin Hood's Bay area led by Caroline Hirst.

Sunday 17th September Exhibition (A Common Foe) in Hull, this year's City of Culture, hopefully followed by Dutch pancakes.


Wednesday 5th July, 17:45 AGM at the Friends (Quaker) Meeting House, York, followed by a talk by Chris Thompson, "Phonetics and the scripts of India" and then a networking buffet, which is free for YTI members (£7.50 otherwise). Attendance at the AGM is, of course, free of charge.

Saturday September 30th, afternoon Three hour yoga workshop led by Nam Prakash at the Priory Centre in York

Saturday November 18th, 14:00-17:00 Joint legal translation workshop with the North East Regional Group of ITI at the Friends (Quaker) Meeting House, York. The workshop will be preceded by an optional buffet lunch.
