YTI aims to organise a monthly social event during the second (full-ish) week of the month, with a summer break in August.

Thursday 15th September 2016 Curry in Bradford. More details to follow.

Sunday 9th October 2016 Yorkshire Sculpture Park, to see, among other things, the UK's first major exhibition of work by Swiss sculptor Not Vital, a nomadic artist with studios in the Swiss village of Sent and Beijing and homes in Rio de Janeiro and Niger.

Friday 11th November 2016 Internationally themed pub quiz, chaired by Catherine Greensmith, in York.

Saturday 17th December 2016 Christmas lunch in York.


Saturday 26th November 2016 YTI/NERG joint translation workshop, in Darlington, theme Fashion and Textiles, preceded by lunch.

Late January/early February TBC.

Saturday 25th March 2017 Interpreting-focused, full-day event at Leeds University.
